Today is a combo with One-Liner Wednesday. This is one of my favorite pictures of myself and I think it fits perfectly with my word of the year, Drive.
"No one can drive us crazy unless we give them the keys." Douglas Horton
I'm not giving up my keys (or in this case, my feet!)
Hi, Janet!
ReplyDeleteI am especially enjoying posts that contain pictures of you at various stages of your life. A few days ago, you showed us big girl you and your big girl car. In today's post, you flashed all the way back to your toddler years. You look adorable rounding a corner in your little car. I am sure you are "anchored" to this old photo. Now, anytime you wish, you can tap into the happy, excited feelings you had at that moment in your life when you were in control, when you and you alone were driving the car. Those powerful feelings will serve you whenever you face a tough challenge.
Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Janet!
That was such a great time, Shady. We lived in the middle of the block and I had an aunt and uncle who lived on the corner. I would get in my little car and drive down the street to visit them. You really understand where I was going with this one. Have a wonderful week yourself, my friend.
DeleteYep I hang on to the car keys too lol
ReplyDeleteFunny, Wendy, I have a real problem letting anyone else drive my car, even my husband!
DeleteLove that photo. I think it should be made into a poster about the joys of driving and distributed to everyone who experiences road rage. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Deborah. It puts a smile on my own face every time I see it.
