Sometimes the best therapy is a long drive and music. (From Lessonslearnedinlife.com)
Me, circa 1983, in the car I used to get my therapy in. I thought I was so cool. I also think that was pretty close to the goal weight I'm aiming for. At that time I thought I was fat. I was just a kid, what did I know?

Hi, Janet!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, happy new year to you, my new and wonderful friend, and thanks for your delightful visit to Shady's Place!
I enjoyed that old picture of you posing with your cool car. You certainly don't look overweight to me. The pic reminds me of the song "Mustang Sally." :) It's true that a long drive and a mix tape can be therapeutic. I am reminded of the moment in Nat'l Lampoon's Animal House when things are going so badly for the Deltas that they decide the best solution is a "road trip."
I hope 2020 is off to a great start and will continue to get even better for you, dear friend Janet!
Thanks for the visit, Shady. I really appreciate your thoughts. The car was a Triumph TR7 and it had a sunroof so it was fun to drive. I wasn't very good with keeping it up and it had some issues but it was great while it lasted. A road trip is exactly what I used to take when I was feeling depressed - which was quite a bit at that time since I was just getting through a divorce.
