A to Z Challenge - 2020 - Nickelback

"N" is for Nickelback.  Nickelback was the headliner when we saw Daughtry my letter "D" band.  I've used the same set of papers but will definitely have to add some more because I have A LOT of pictures.  I picked this DIY Shop set that I got from Michaels because it has a grungy look and that's how I think of Nickelback.

Here's what I came up with for the first page.  It was called the "Feed the Machine" tour and the drums were set up to look like a huge machine.

Here's the setlist from that show.  I really like several of their songs more than I thought, although some are a little more suggestive than I usually go for.  "When We Stand Together" is a great one for these times.

Here are a couple of the pictures I have.  I got some really good shots so this is going to be a several pager!

I did catch a video of "Burn It To the Ground."  It was their finale and they held nothing back.  The crowd was electric.  Enjoy.

Again, once I get the actual pages put together I'll do a follow up post.  For now I'm calling this one done and I can move on to "O."  Coming along?

  2. Hi, Janet!

In the late 90s and early 2000s I went through a post-grunge/alternative rock phase and collected some of Nickelback's material. I read that their "Feed the Machine" single was released in January 2017 and the album of the same name hit the street in June that year. If you saw them in that show with Daughtry then it must have been at Shoreline Amphitheatre, correct? It was a cool idea for you to pick grungy looking paper stock for your scrapbook backgrounds. The arrangements are smart and tell the story of that exciting evening. I'll say you got some terrific pictures of the Nickelback performance, making it seem like you were up there on stage standing directly in front of the band when you took them. I definitely prefer my rock bands on the harder and heavier side. Based on the video of their closing number, "Burn It To The Ground," complete with screen footage of the band surrounded by flames, I believe Nickelback would have satisfied my craving for an intense musical experience.

Enjoy your day, dear friend Janet!

    1. Hey my friend, I know that Nickelback is one of those bands that people either like or hate. I also know that sometimes people make fun of them for some reason but they did put on a good show. Glad you liked the video. Have a wonderful day!

    1. Thanks Wendy. We did have some pretty good seats for this one, and I definitely have a better camera now than I did for some of those older concerts.
