The view from the top of the mountain is so pretty, although these photos don't do it justice.
I was lucky enough to get this picture of Peter waving to the crowd. Almost looks like he is waving to me, no?
The most memorable thing about this show was the woman who was behind us dressed in a butterfly costume. She went up on the walkway and danced, waving her "wings."
I did use a Lea France template (I think it was the Beach Umbrella) and wrote the set list around it.
Peter Frampton's son was playing with him that night.
The last time we saw him was in 2016. For this set I used a paper collection called Rhapsody from Paper Wishes.
This collection also has some die cuts and tags that coordinate with it.
I used a corner punch that looks like a flower for some of the pictures.
There was a notice at the entrance that said that Peter and the band requested limiting picture taking to the first three songs. It was the first time we had seen something like that. We had really good seats though!
I wanted to convey my dilemma so I used this stencil to make a double pointed arrow.
I love the way this one turned out with the paper design framing it. I just added a few sparkle gems to the center of the flowers. The guitar in the middle is from the drums.
I used one of the embellishments on this page. It looks like an old cassette.
The musical notes are Dazzles stickers.
He had a pretty full set list.
I used another stencil on this one. Since they were limiting the picture taking, I thought this Say Cheese! would be appropriate because it is the shape of a camera.
I added a "flash" and smile button. The middle section is supposed to look like a lens shutter.
Here is the finished set.
At the time I know I was a bit disappointed with the limiting of the picture taking. I did break the rules and take some during later songs and their final bow but I figured that the show was over so they wouldn't mind. Given that we have been prohibited from taking them at all a couple of times, I'd rather have them limit it to a few songs than say no pictures period. After all, the reason I take them is to be able to scrapbook the experience and I think this documents it pretty well, don't you?
I believe Peter Frampton is one of the artists who have said they will not be touring anymore but given the state of affairs at the moment, maybe all those groups who said they were not going out on the road will be so bored having been in isolation that they'll change their minds! We'll see.
Okay, that's it for "F." Tomorrow's "G" is going to be just a bit different. Come see!
Hi, Janet!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I was so sure your "F" post would be devoted to the Fat Boys, the hip hop rappers of the early 80s. I even called my bookie and bet money on it. :)
You were lucky to see rocker Pete Frampton on two different occasions at the same venue. You make me want to visit Mountain Winery because the view from the top looks awesome. How fortuitous to snap a picture of Frampton as he waved to the audience. Yessum, he seems to be looking right at you. You also took good pix of "Madame Butterfly" there in the crowd. I admire your choice of magenta/cranberry and teal/lime green colors along with the templates, stencils, frames and other decorative elements. Yessum, you were lucky to be able to take so many great pictures given the limitations imposed. So tell me, Janet. How were the performances by Pete and his band? Was one of his shows better than the other?
Frampton Comes Alive again thanks for your excellent skill as a photographer and your artistry in putting together scrapbook chapters.
I am 99.99% sure tomorrow's post will be a salute to Gaga Gaga Gaga!
Take care and have a wonderful day hunkered down, dear friend Janet!
Dear Shady, you are reminding me to start giving some kind of critique of the show in my posts instead of just my scrapbooking and picture taking! Both shows were good, but I think we enjoyed the second better because it was longer. He was the main act. In the first one he opened for YES, who were just okay in my opinion. No Gaga for G. Stay safe out there.
DeleteGosh, he looks like a regular older man..his hair is gone since he had those long locks...hahahaa. I love how perfect your design pages turn out. This intimidates me because I know I would screw up.
