I had to stop and do a double take. Who would actually sell moldy bread and, what an interesting pattern the mold made!
Upon closer inspection, this is what it really is:
Not being a fan of either green tea or red beans, I'm pretty sure I would not like this bread, even if it was warm with lots of butter on it. Also, at 200 calories a slice it's almost a meal by itself.
How about you? Like green tea and red bean bread? Find anything interesting when you were fiddlin' around the grocery store lately? Share!
That bread is gross. No way would I want any of it, and I'm not one to pass up bread.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought, John! No amount of butter!
DeleteThe concept is good, but the execution...!
ReplyDeleteYes, Melody, I agree. I'm trying to think of something else that would go in there but my mind is stuck on ewww.
DeleteOh Dear....I like green tea and red beans, but NO NO NO! Not like this, not even with butter, or green eggs and ham!!!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely not!
DeleteLOL - I think the consensus is in. That's not a very appetizing-looking bread - it really does look moldy. I like both green tea and red beans, but I think I'll stick indulging in them in other recipes.
ReplyDeleteA family member brought over a loaf of Irish soda bread fresh from the oven this weekend, along with a pound of Irish butter and it was heavenly.
I think it's funny I've gotten more comments on this bread picture than I have on a lot of my other posts! Your Irish soda bread sounds yummy, however.
