I know jars are a popular item and I immediately thought about turning it into a mini-album about cooking or family recipes. This is what I came up with:
There are pages inside so you can add pictures and special stories about those treasured family cooking memories.
I thought this sentiment worked with the theme.
I was pleased with how the embellishments came out on the front. I was even more pleased when someone bought it!
Because I liked the way it turned out, I traced the shapes on cardboard so I could make another one. It's in my "to be made" pile. LOL

Yes, Frederique, that's what I was thinking when I made it. I know there are families out there who pass down recipes from generation to generation and thought this would be a good way to do it! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI thought of a friend of mine who "preserves" precious memories by writing on a piece of paper the cute things her kids say and then putting them inside a canning jar. Seems like your clever craft could also be used for something similar... preserving special memories.

DeleteI go (get dragged along?) and look for Native American stuff. But I never find things that are quite what I'd want. Not that my weaving skills are worth mentioning, but I did try to remember some old lessons for an IWSG post once.

You are good. My husband never goes with me...but then again, I probably wouldn't want him to. He can get a bit impatient sometimes and Michaels is not a rush in and rush out kind of store - LOL.
