March Meandering - 2018 - A to Z Challenge - 2018 - Theme Reveal

It is time for the big A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal!

For the last two years I've been participating in the A to Z Challenge with several hundred others and I've posted about that a few days ago.

Jacqui Murray of WordDreams actually gave me the idea for this theme when I first started working at Michaels in September last year.  Thanks, Jacqui!

My word for the year is Create and I am guessing that working in a store "Where Creativity Happens" is pretty in line with that idea.

So, in my Blogging from A to Z Challenge for 2018 I'm going to take you behind the scenes at Michaels Arts and Crafts store and introduce you to all the different things you may not have realized about this establishment.

Of course there are the usual items one might find in a craft store such as crayons and paints but it really is much more than that.  I'm hoping you'll learn something new and maybe it will inspire you to visit a store and get your craft on!

There is still plenty of time to join the challenge, which runs through April, feel free to come along.  You can find all the details here.  It should be another fun month.

  3. Hey Janet! I was just perusing the A-Z participant list and really just looking at the various themes and when I saw "Michael's Arts & Crafts" I just knew that was you! And then I scrolled over to the participant name and there you were!
I'm so excited about your theme! There's a Michaels store just down the road from me. I have spent soooo much money in that store over there years (mostly on gemstone beads for my jewelry). But I know there's so much about crafts that I know absolutely nothing about. Will be fun to see behind the scenes at this really cool store!

I'm not participating in the A-Z this year. I don't have time. I have to do my taxes still and I'm having shoulder surgery on April 2 and then I'm having out of town company here during the middle of the month. My mom is having surgery on Friday and on and on. I just don't have the time and the only way I would do it is if I had ALL of my posts already prepared because that is so critical. I had my theme picked out 2 years ago and finished my Letter A post (it's still in a Draft form on my blog!) but I just wasn't feeling it last year. And I guess I'm not this year either. I did it for three years in a row and had a blast but it's overwhelming and exhausting so...maybe next year for me. :)

but I'll be bouncing around every now and then and will definitely stop in to check out some of your posts!

Hope all is well in your world...

    1. Thanks Michele! I hope I can make it interesting enough for everyone. Sorry you won't be participating but I know it takes a TON of time. Good luck with your shoulder surgery and have fun with your guests! Love to have you stop by once in a while :)

  5. What a GREAT idea for A-Z Theme! I like the idea of crafting... but unfortunately I'm not very crafty :) I do enjoy papercrafts, like greeting cards and scrapbooking.

    1. That is my primary focus too, which is why the whole rest of Michaels was so amazing to me! Whole sections I never knew about until I started working there and then doing this A to Z! Thanks for stopping by.
