Lots of good choices for this word and very timely with the New Year beginning in just two days! I decided to go with Adele:
Just the guitar
This was all you, none of it me
You put your hands all over my body and told me, umm
You told me you were ready
For the big one, for the big jump
I'd be your last love everlasting you and me
That was what you told me
You put your hands all over my body and told me, umm
You told me you were ready
For the big one, for the big jump
I'd be your last love everlasting you and me
That was what you told me
I'm giving you up
I've forgiven it all
You set me free, oh
I've forgiven it all
You set me free, oh
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
I was too strong you were trembling
You couldn't handle the hot heat rising (rising), umm
Baby I'm so rising
I was running, you were walking
You couldn't keep up, you were falling down (down), umm
There's only one way down
You couldn't handle the hot heat rising (rising), umm
Baby I'm so rising
I was running, you were walking
You couldn't keep up, you were falling down (down), umm
There's only one way down
I'm giving you up
I've forgiven it all
You set me free, oh
I've forgiven it all
You set me free, oh
Here are some pictures I took and some of the scrapbook pages I did from that show.
I even managed to catch a video of "Send My Love (To Your New Lover" and although parts of it are a little fuzzy it's not that bad.
This is our last Song Lyric Sunday of the year. Anyone have big plans for New Year's Eve? We are not doing anything special. For the last couple of years I've been using the time to get my calendars all up to date and ready to go. We do stay up to watch the "ball drop" from Times Square. Wouldn't be the New Year without that, although it's not the same without Dick Clark. I hope that Helen gets better and that everyone has a terrific New Year. I'm planning on making 2019 a great year!
What a great experience for you. I always enjoy Adele!
ReplyDeleteShe is something special.
DeleteYour pics are great--what a memorable, monumental experience!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Janet!! Thanks for the enjoyable reads, and for writing such lovely comments on my blog, too. Here's to 2019 and beyond!
Thanks Melodye! Here's to a wonderful 2019 for us all!
DeleteWishing you a wonderful 2019 Janet - one that's filled with lots of music and happy surprises!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deborah!
DeleteHi, Janet - How lucky you were to get concert tickets! Sounds like an amazing show.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't familiar with this song (yup, sometimes I think that I do live under a rock). I just youtubed it and loved it! Wishing you a wonderful 2019 ahead!
Thanks Donna. I was really surprised when I got the text that tickets were available. I thought we were out of luck because they sold out so fast. She is just amazing. Hope you have a fantastic 2019 too!
