March Madness - 2020 - Song Lyric Sunday - Touch

Happy Song Lyric Sunday folks.  Jim's prompt is Touch/Feel.  Thought of this one during our time of social distancing:

Invisible Touch
Well I've been waiting, waiting here so long
But thinking nothing, nothing could go wrong, but now I know
She has a built in ability
To take everything she sees
And now it seems I'm falling, falling for her.
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
She reaches in, grabs right hold of your heart
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
It takes control and slowly tears you apart.
I don't really know her, I only know her name
But she crawls under your skin, you're never quite the same, and now I know
She's got something you just can't trust
It's something mysterious
And now it seems I'm falling, falling for her.
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
She reaches in, grabs right hold of your heart
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
It takes control and slowly tears you apart.
She don't like losing, to her it's still a game
Though she'll mess up your life, you'll want her just the same, now I know
She has a built in ability
To take everything she sees
And now it seems I've fallen, fallen for her.
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
She reaches in, grabs right hold of your heart
She seems to have an invisible touch yeah
It takes control and slowly tears you apart.

I wrote about seeing Genesis for the A to Z in 2017.  It was a great show and I saw that they were going to tour again in Europe but that had to be cancelled of course.  Who knows when we'll be able to go to concerts anymore and Phil Collins wasn't in the best of health as it was.  Even more reason I am so happy I took so many pictures of the ones we did attend.  Stay safe out there people.

  1. Hi, Janet!

Your fingers took the words right out of my mouth, dear friend! (That doesn't sound safe, given the current guidelines for avoiding the virus, does it?) I was going ask the rhetorical question "When, if ever again, will we again feel safe to assemble in large groups?" Think of all the things we might miss in the foreseeable future - concerts, sporting events, festivals, theme parks, carnivals, state fairs, meetings, conferences, seminars, church services - it boggles the mind. Our whole way of life has changed, at least for now. Yessum, it is a blessing that you took all those pictures of Phil Collins when you had the chance. When I worked at that MTV station in the 80s, the music video for the Genesis hit "Invisible Touch" was played often by the VJ who hosted the afternoon soft rock daypart. I went to YT just now and reviewed it.

I look forward to your A to Z marathon, dear friend Janet. In the meantime, in between time, please stay safe and well!

    1. Thanks dear Shady! I don't want to think about never being able to see baseball or concerts again. We must be able to get through this! Wonderful to "see" you. :)
