Me in March - 2017

Starting off with a bang here this month.  We have a full first two weeks and then we quiet down for a bit.  I am going to have to work really hard to get myself ready for the A to Z challenge that is coming up in April.  I have my theme picked out and all the letters assigned but you know there is always that last minute change and I have to do some prep work too.

Anyway, here are the first three pictures from March:

#60 - This is us, at our favorite pre-SAP Center concert spot.  It is a restaurant called The Louisiana Bistro.  We happened upon it by chance in 2015 and since then we've been stopping there before every show we see at that venue.  We sit at the bar and   The owner, James, is very friendly and the bartender, Brianna, knows our drink preferences and she starts making them as soon as we come in, even though it is months between visits.  Traffic was bad getting to San Jose this time so we didn't have time for dinner, but we have at least two more concerts already planned for this year so next time we're going to leave earlier so we can eat.  They make some of the best N'awlin's food!

#61 - We found a new mid-week excitement!  The local senior center has bingo on Thursday nights and we've seen the advertisement for it several times and keep saying that we should try it.  Bill was talking to some of the guys down at the local baseball field and the bingo happened to come up in conversation again so we decided to try it out.  We had a blast.  We got lots of help from the friendly people explaining the games and what we were supposed to be looking for and I even won a bingo of $125.  Each bingo is $250 but there were two winners when I got mine so we split it.  There are prizes that can go up to $1000!  I know we'll be going back again!  Being a senior and retired (or in my case work from home) definitely has its advantages.  We didn't get home until almost 10:30!

#62 - Mr. Jon Bon Jovi.  That is who we saw when we went to the concert on Wednesday.  It was our first concert of the season.  It always takes me a while to get the best pictures so I end up taking like 200!  Plus some video of my favorite songs.  This one is one of my favorites from the collection.  He is so darn cute!  Yes, getting old.  Yes, can't quite hit the high notes anymore.  Still can make the heart flutter and the feet dance!

Okay, this weekend is the Scrapbook Expo that I love going to with my niece, Donna.  I'm sure I'll have plenty to share about that!  That's me, so far, in March.  How about you?  How is your month starting off?  Concerts?  Favorite restaurant?  Love to have you share!

  1. I'm spending my March on Unemployment. I have theme picked for the A to Z but that is all. I can't help but wonder if Cajun is Cajun in California, like is California style REALLY California style in Texas? LOL

  2. Good question, Barbara! I haven't been to Louisiana so I don't know if it is really cajun but it is good! Looking forward to following your A to Z this year!
