Juicy July - 2019 - Song Lyric Sunday - Misty

Today's prompt from Jim is Songs that were in movies.  On an earlier prompt I used the song "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" from the movie "Play Misty For Me."  Today I'm using "Misty".  I love the way Johnny Mathis sings this song.

The lyrics:

Misty
Johnny Mathis, Glenn Osser & His Orchestra
Look at me
I'm as helpless as a kitten up a tree
And I feel like I'm clinging to a cloud
I can't understand
I get misty, holding your hand
Walk my way
And a thousand violins begin to play
Or it might be the sound of your hello
That music I hear
I get misty the moment you're near
You can say that you're leading me on
But it's just what I want you to do
Don't you realize how hopelessly I'm lost
That's why I'm following you
On my own
Would I wander through this wonderland alone
Never knowing my right foot from my left
My hat from my glove
I get misty, and too much in love
I'm too misty, and too much in love

  1. Fun choice to share!
I've seen some kittens up trees that were not so very helpless. Tiny claws on such adorable balls of fluff.
    Hope you're doing well.

    1. True that! I was walking our dog the other day and one of the neighbor's cats decided to attack. I picked up my dog and in the process got a good swat from the cat! Bruised hand and two puncture marks later. Thanks for stopping by, J!
