May You Smile – 2022

It’s our 38th anniversary today. I guess we are doing something right.

Still sad about losing my wedding ring though. We’re going to celebrate tonight at Benihana, as usual.

It’s been an interesting ride so far.

  2. Hi, Janet!

Happy 38th anniversary to you and Bill, dear friend! Truer words were never spoken (written). You must be doing something right. In fact, based upon the 78 dating ideas revealed in your recent A to Z Challenge, you guys are doing many things right. I enjoyed your "slideshow" of scenes from your wedding and some of fun things you have done over the years. It helps that you have so many common interests.

Just think how much has changed in this country and in the world since the mid 80s. Through it all, your relationship has not only survived, it has thrived. While some marriages don't last much longer than 38 days, you guys can feel proud that yours is going strong after 38 years.

Thank you for sharing your joy and congratulations to you both. Have a wonderful celebratory weekend, dear friend Janet!

    1. Thanks so much dear Shady. I know you know that it is not always easy to work through the struggles that all couples face. I'm glad that we have been able to stay strong. Have a great weekend!

  3. Happy anniversary! 38 years is an achievement indeed (especially these days). We are going on 42 years in October (God willing). I like how you celebrate it at Benihana. Love that place! To many more wonderful years together! I think people have to remember that it is a commitment through "thick and thin" "good and bad" etc and that love is just not an emotion but a verb. Sometimes it is really hard to love someone but that's probably when they need it the most! Enjoy your day!

    1. Thanks Betty. It is definitely hard work sometimes and I think some people are just too ready to give up instead of trying.
