Suddenly It’s September – 2020

And just in case you haven’t seen enough, here are a couple more pictures of my world at the moment.

Today at least we saw the sun. No filter. That’s what it looks like.
This is ash. My husband’s truck is blue.
More ash. The chair is brown.

Mind you, we are at least 80 to 100 miles away from any of the fires. The air quality is terrible.

And poor Benny just wants to go outside and play catch.

Hope you all are safe and well where you are. This year is quite a doozy, isn’t it?

  1. Janet, this is horrible! I am very sorry that you, your hubby and my buddy Benny must endure such conditions. You have already hunkered down for months in quarantine, now you have this awful fire and smoke threat to deal with. Yesterday I saw a story at the top of my news feed describing the eerie orange, ash-filled sky in the S.F. Bay region as an "Armageddon sky." I was going to send you the link to that article but then I came to my senses and realized that you don't need to read about it. You are right in the middle of it. 2020 is a year we will all long remember... and wish we could forget.

I hope firefighters can gain the upper hand soon so that you and your loved ones can stand down and go back to the new normal of mask wearing, social distancing and sweating out the result of the most crucial election in American history. I'm thinking about you, dear friend!

    1. Thanks so much my good buddy, Shady. It really is like something out of a dystopian novel. All we can do is pray that we can eventually get back to some kind of normalcy. Our sun today is similar to the one above and the air quality has gone to 229 :(. Poor Benny doesn't understand why I won't take him out to play catch.

On a positive note, I have gotten some new transcription work to keep me busy. Thanks, as always for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

  2. Yikes!!!
Seriously, stay safe. Those fires and that ash cloud are no joke. I'm sorry you're stuck dealing with that.

I am excited for the upcoming YA scavenger book hunt (YASH), and for the Pass or Pages query contest at Operation Awesome with the YA category this October. I hope you've been staying healthy and thriving as best as you can this year.
