OMG It’s October!

In the last post I promised to show you some of the crafty things I’ve been working on…

First is a custom ordered baby girl mini-album. I think it came out very nicely.

Mainly I am a paper crafter but occasionally I like to do a little crochet as well. Here is a poncho I finished and one that I’m starting.

The big one is so warm and comfy. It will be good for those cold mornings when I am sitting in front of the computer typing away.

I did also finish the two Halloween box mini-albums and put those up in the Etsy shop.

I am working on another custom baby album, this one for a baby boy. After that it will be time to start working on things for the holiday boutiques I am participating in next month. So much to do but this is the fun stuff! Are you keeping busy? Ever crochet a poncho?

  1. Hi, Janet!

I love these videos showing off your crafts, dear friend! It always amazes me how those compact mini-albums take a small amount of space on a desk or in a drawer, yet open into a wonderland of enchantment with numerous pockets and sleeves that can hold birth records, cards and other keepsakes stemming from baby's first days, weeks and months of life. They are remarkable items!

I will show Mrs. Shady your crocheting video because that is how she spends all of her spare time - crocheting. She is currently making me a jacket. Whenever we watch TV together, I watch television while she listens to the show as if it is on the radio. She rarely looks up at the screen because she is so involved with her crocheting.

Wow, those two H-ween box mini-albums, Hexes And Curses and Witch Spells, are my favorites! I hope you sell a bunch of them. Yessum, soon it will be time to gear up for the busy, hectic end of year holidays. I hope it will be a prosperous season for your Etsy shop.

It's wonderful to see you, dear friend Janet. Please give my buddy Benny a hug and a Milk-Bone biscuit and have a super week! (FYI - my next post begins running this Saturday, Oct. 15.)

  2. Thanks for being my faithful friend here, dear Shady! I appreciate your comments about my crafty work. I love making interactive albums. Lots of surprises. I am like your wife, usually just listening to whatever is on TV when I crochet. Does it bother you? Sometimes hubby gets frustrated with me because he says I'm not paying enough attention. Come to think of it, I'll have to give him a bad time the next time he falls asleep while watching a movie! - LOL.
I will certainly come by to visit you this weekend. Can't wait to see what surprises you have for us!

    1. Hi, Janet!

Yessum, it does bother me a little that Mrs. S. hardly ever looks up at the TV screen. She misses a lot when she does that, including important visual clues to solving murder mysteries, messages printed or handwritten on sheets of paper, graphics establishing dates and places where scenes take place and so much more. This evening as we were watching an episode of 20/20, she actually fell asleep on me! :)

I'll see you at SPMM this weekend. Until then, have a great week, dear friend Janet!

  3. Dear Janet, I just read about the strong earthquake in the Bay Area. I hope you and your loved ones are AOK. Let me know how you're doing. I'm thinking about you.

    1. Hi Shady! How kind of you to think of me! It was a 5.1 and I felt it in the kitchen but my husband was in the next room and did not feel it at all. Benny started barking so he knew something was up. It started small and then built to a pretty good shake but there was no damage to our house or anything around us, thank goodness. Appreciate your thoughts! Thanks my friend.
