Mainly in March - #SLS - Song Lyric Sunday - Occupation

Sorry to hear that Helen is still not feeling well and has decided to give up the Song Lyric Sunday theme for good.  Hoping she gets better soon and back to blogging in whatever way she chooses.  Thanks to Jim for continuing the challenge.  I know it probably isn't easy but he's doing a great job and I like having the prompts for the month laid out so that I can plan ahead.  It will be particularly helpful once the A to Z starts next month!

Today's prompt is "Occupation" and there have already been a lot of great choices out there.  I went looking for something that was a little different and came up with this from Kenny Rogers.  Country is not my number one genre but Kenny has given us some good ones.  Lyrics in the video.

I don't play cards because to me there's too much thinking involved and when I gamble, I do it for fun.  We love to go to Reno and have taken a few day trips to local casinos.  I've never been a huge winner, although I did win $1000 once.  I just love to hear the bells go off.  Here's one of my good ones.

One of the last times we went to Reno we made friends with an employee at the Silver Legacy.  His name is Doc Cheatham.  He gives directions, answers questions and does card and magic tricks in the lobby.  He is really good and took the time to talk to us about how he got started and showed us a few secrets to the tricks he does - which I don't remember so don't ask me how they're done!  He reminds me of The Gambler.  If you get to the Silver Legacy you should really stop and check him out.

And there's your Song Lyric Sunday for today.  Check out the other participants and play along if you can think of a song with an occupation we may have missed!
